More recently, they settled back in Port Colborne to be closer to family. During the war years, Rose worked as a line inspector at Plymouth Cordage. In between children, she worked at a variety of jobs including at a nursing home, house cleaning and Lanark. The job she retired from and the one that gave the most satisfaction was as a personal support worker at Bethesda Home in Vineland. The center of Rose’s life was her family, children and grandchildren. For many years she hosted weekly family Sunday dinners where everyone knew they were welcome to stop by and join in. She delighted in feeding the grandchildren; enjoyed a good laugh with her sisters, and loved her vacations and long country drives with Tom. Bravo mom; a life well lived, a life well loved.
