Obituary of Donald Henry Jacobi

JACOBI, DONALD HENRY – Born September 21, 1926 in Manor Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully on Friday March 27th, 2015 at the age of 88, with his family by his side, holding his hand. Don is survived by his children Evelyn (Bob) Smith, Jim Jacobi (Melanie), Ken (Pat) Jacobi and Joyce Sahs, grandchildren Doug (Chantal) Nigh, Adria Jacobi, Lisa (Al) Hayes. Ken (Sue) Jacobi, Helena and Holly Sahs. Also survived by great grandchildren Aurora and Anderson Jacobi, Austin Nigh and Emmett Hayes, by his wife Ethel, stepson Mike (Twila) Marlatt and step granddaughter Krystal and his first wife Helen Jacobi and by his sister Ida Hocking. Predeceased by his grandson Kraig Jacobi. He served as a Sgt. in the Canadian Army then moved to Fort Erie in 1946. He was in the reserve Army for many years after that. He is a proud Veteran and member of the Fort Erie Legion Branch 71 and spent many of his working years at D& W Upholstery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd. North, Ridgeway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 10 to 11:30 with a service to follow in the chapel. A reception to follow and then interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Fort Erie SPCA. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
