Obituary of Ernest Alfred Wren

WREN, Ernest Alfred Passed away peacefully in Fort Erie, Ontario on February 26, 2015, at the age of 84 after a courageous battle with heart disease and cancer. Beloved husband of Olga Wren (2008) and Phoebe Wren (Van Sickle/2010). Loving father to his children, Wayne (Devra), Barb (Peter) and Tom (Leanne) and grandfather to Christopher. Loving stepfather to Phoebe’s children, Linda (Dennis), Dale, Wayne (Joanne), Brian (Deanne), Brenda (Jim) and Michael (Sharon), and Cathy, and is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by his sisters, Florence Denman and Ada Smith. Predeceased by brothers, Henry Wren and Ronald Wren. Ernie was a caring, gentle person with a great sense of humour and enjoyed woodworking, model building and carving. Special thanks to Dr. Scher for his understanding and compassion, and to the entire staff at Garrison Place in Fort Erie for their friendship, genuine kindness and dedicated care towards our father. Ernie will be sadly missed by his family and many friends, including “The Boys” at Dofasco. William Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Ernie’s wishes, there will be no memorial or funeral service. His ashes will be scattered at a later date.
