Obituary of William "Bill" Brown

BROWN, William (Bill) Jennings – At Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on Wednesday July 9th, 2014. Bill was in his 96th year and will be missed by all. Bill Brown, predeceased by his loving wife Pearl and his twin sons Albert and Arthur. Loving father of George (Bonnee), Earl (Rosanne) and Dale. Also two daughter in laws Nancy and Maureen. Dear brother of Ruth Wilson, Arnold (Barb) and Franklin (Joyce). Predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Bill was also predeceased by three grandchildren, Jasen, Amy and Kennith. He is survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Bill was a WWII veteran fighting on Juno Beach on D Day, He was also a long time employee of Atlas Steel. With his beloved wife Pearl, he enjoyed cribbage, euchre, bowling, square-dancing and travelling. Thank you to the caring staff at the Residence on Garrison, CCAC and to Dr. Scher and the nurses at the hospital. Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. North entrusted with arrangements. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday morning at 11:00 o’clock. Interment to follow at Doan’s Ridge Cemetery, Welland. In memory of Bill those who wish may donate to the Charity of their choice.
