Obituary of Duarte Manuel DeFreitas

De FREITAS, Duarte – Passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2019 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Maria for 56 years. Dear father of Arthur (Rosa) and Carlos (Debbie). Cherished grandpa of Jessica, Stephanie, Brandon and Jennifer. Loving brother Armindo (Robert) DeFreitas and Aldora and the late Victor Da Cunha. Predeceased by his parents Artur and Maria. Duarte was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he will be sadly missed.

Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd. North, Ridgeway have been entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. George Catholic Church, Crystal Beach, on Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Rite of Committal will follow at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
