1944 - 2024
Passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2024 in her 81st year surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with P.S.P. Loving wife of the Late Eldon Wayne Knapp. Predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. William Gilmour and in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Knapp and her many siblings and loved ones that have gone before her. Survived by her daughters Lori and Leanne. Cherished grandmother to Kyle, Carson (Katie) and Mitchell (Caitlin). Devoted great grandmother to Madelyn, Dallas, Blakely and Harlow. Dearly remembered by her good friend, Winston James. She will be sadly missed by her sister Joanne (Ted) Renshaw, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was a Ridgeway Lioness member for 41 years, serving as a treasurer, secretary and bartender. Most of all she loved being with family and friends, cooking, dancing and entertaining. She was the life of the party. Special thank you to Dr. Che for his dedication, the family would also like to extend a warm thank you to all the wonderful staff at Garrison Place - Sarah, Casey, Brenda, her amazing PSW’s and all of the care team for their exceptional care and compassion. A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 28th, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeway. Cremation has taken place. Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to COPE.
