Obituary of Gail Anderson

ANDERSON, Gail (Hodge) – It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at the age of 62. Gail will be deeply missed by her cherished daughters, Ashley and Amanda Anderson, and her adored grandchildren, Ryley, Austin, Alicia, and Miles. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Gloria Painter (Terry) and Sherree Doss (Danny), as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Hodge. Originally from Asheboro, North Carolina, Gail made her home in Stevensville, Ontario, where she raised her family. She found joy in spending time with her daughters, watching her grandchildren grow, and proudly cheering them on at their activities. Holidays were especially meaningful, as Gail took great pleasure in cooking and decorating with her family. She also cherished her time at the beach, was an enthusiastic supporter of the Buffalo Bills, and enjoyed watching Judge Judy with her beloved cat, Jazmine. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service to celebrate Gail’s life will be held at the Stevensville Conservation Area, where a memorial tree will be planted in her honour at a later date.
