Obituary of Margaret Rose Tippett

In Memory of

Margaret Rose Tippett

1946 – 2024

It is with great sorrow that the family of Margaret Rose Tippett (nee Rowe) announces her passing on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Niagara General Hospital.

Margaret was born in Sheffield, England in 1946 and grew up in Kenya, East Africa.  She was educated and graduated at the local convent schools.  She was an avid equestrian and met her husband at the Langata Pony Club.  Margaret was married to the love of her life for 55 wonderful years. They had two daughters and immigrated to Canada in 1975 to join her parents and extended family which was everything to Margaret.  She expressed her love through kindness and compassion which came through to anyone who met her.  She loved the outdoors and spending time gardening, boating, and fishing.   Margaret was a devout Catholic and had a deep and unwavering faith in God.  After raising her family and helping her husband build a business, Margaret retired and settled in Crystal Beach where she was an active parishioner of St. George Catholic Church until her illness.

Survived and forever missed by her loving husband, Michael Tippett.  She will always be remembered by her daughters, Shelley Baker (Hendrik) and Julie Tippett (Joe). Extremely proud and loving Grandma to Cameron and Leah Baker and Alyssa Kennedy.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Rowe (Susan) and her sister Josephine Rowe (Laurent) as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents John and Rose Rowe.  It brings us comfort knowing they are finally reunited.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 9:30am at Williams Funeral Home, Ridgeway, ON, followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:00am at St. George Catholic Church, 56 Ridgeway Road, Crystal Beach, L0S 1B0.  Lunch for family and friends to follow, details will be provided at the Church.
