Obituary of Marina Duminuco
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marina Duminuco on Wednesday, December 13th at the St. Catharines Hospital. She was born in Sicily, Italy on February 19, 1940. She was the youngest of 7 children. She is predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Nina Marcellino. She immigrated to Alberta, Canada in 1966 with her husband Augusto (who passed in 1971) and their 3 children. Her fourth child was born in Canada in 1972. She also lived in British Columbia, spending her final 18 years here in Ontario.
After coming to Canada, Marina and her husband opened 3 laundromats in Calgary. Later she ran an in-home daycare.
She leaves behind her four children Carla, Joe, Nino and Augusto (Colleen) and seven grandchildren Augusto, Nick, Rose, Marco, Sasha, Giorgio and Matteo. She will be greatly missed by her dogs Rocco and Cosmo.
A memorial service to honour her life will take place on Friday, December 15th at 10:30 at Williams Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at the Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
