Salvatore (Sam) Insinna

It is with heavy hearts yet with gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of our father, Sam Insinna. He will be greatly missed by his children; Anthony (Sandra), Tom (Michele), and Anne Marie (Bryon) Ciancio. Beloved Papa of his grandchildren Samantha (Ben), Frank (Tara), Alex, Brianne (Dylan), John (Veronica), Stephen (Amanda), Amanda (Jeff), Ian (Ayanna) and his great grandchildren Georgia, Owyn, Oliver, Charlie, Ciel, Odin and Arlo. Special uncle to Josephine (Dick) Komarmi and their children Jim and Jane, their families and many nieces and nephews in the United States. He will be missed by his dear neighbours and friends especially Susan and Doug Kohinski, Brenda Graham and Gloria Lacavera.

Sam was proud of his career at Fleet Industries and always spoke of his time there fondly. His other loves were barbering and his beautiful and bountiful garden which he shared to the delight of so many. He was a member of St George Roman Catholic Parish and the Fort Erie Knights of Columbus.

The family wishes to thank Dr Che and Dr Scher, all the members of the palliative team at Douglas Memorial, Armand and the rest of the home care providers and community nurses for their exceptional care and compassion given to our father.

His family takes solace in knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife Josephine, parents Antonino and Angelina, sister Virginia, brother-in-law Sam, and nephew Larry.

As expressions of sympathy donations to Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
