Galipeau, Lawrence Albert

On Friday March 24, 2023 in his 96th year Lawrence Albert Galipeau passed away peacefully in his sleep at St Joseph’s Villa in Dundas Ontario.

Born in Sturgeon Falls Ontario November 5, 1927 Lawrence was the son of the late Napoleon Romeo Galipeau and Alberta (nee Imbeau).

Married to his loving wife, the late Mary Ethel Galipeau (nee Croxall) for 65 years. They were long-time residents of Alderwood in Etobicoke and Black Creek Village in Stevensville Ontario.

Lawrence is survived by his sons: Robert Galipeau his wife Deborah (nee: Kerr), Rick Galipeau and his wife Barbara (nee: King) 

Pepere will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren: Julie Rowles (nee: Galipeau) her husband Brendan, Natasha, (Bradley Robshaw), Kirrena, Erik and great grandchildren Benjamin and Evelyn Rowles.

Survived by siblings Irene Galipeau, Anita Kack , Suzanne Petrov and the late Simone Turcotte, Francoise Coupal and Rene (Ray) Galipeau.

Predeceased by his grandson Paul, daughter in law Carolyn (nee: Scale).

The family thanks the staff of SJV Birch Trail unit for the care and compassion extended to Frenchie, as he was known, for the last 18 months of his life.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada are appreciated by the family.

Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements.  Family and friends will gather to visit at the funeral home on Saturday April 22nd from 11 am until the time of services in the chapel at noon.  A luncheon will follow.
