Obituary of Marianne Small

It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Marianne Irene Small on January 14th 2023, aged 63. Marianne will be deeply missed by her son Jeffery, his partner Cecilia, step children Owen and Bronwen. She is survived by her Brothers Bob (Lorraine) and James (Marie-Paule) Nephew David and Nieces Ashley, Sarah and Rachel. Marianne will be missed by many close friends, family and members of the Crystal Beach and Ridgeway community. She is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Doris Small, her Aunt Irene Grundy and many other close family and friends. Marianne spent 23 years working at Gencorp/GDX in Welland, on the production line and spent time as the Employee Assistance Program Co-Chair and Treasurer for the Union. She was currently working at Joe's Independant Grocery in Ridgeway as well as Liberty Tax Services also in Ridgeway where she developed many relationships within the community. Marianne was an avid animal lover and spent a lot of time caring for the pets of many family and friends as well as her own. Cremation has taken place and a Ceremony of Life will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Niagara SPCA & Humane Society Welland or Fort Erie location.
