I am so sorry to read of Eldon’s passing. I worked with Eldon at General Vanier School for many years.
I used to inquire of Eldon why my requisition for a maintenance job in my classroom was taking so long.
I soon found out that a requisition went to the top of the pile if a homemade rhubarb pie was delivered.
It was a win/win! Eldon, Gil and his mate satisfied my request and then they sat in the boiler room and
ate the pie! Such good laughs and memories!
Eldon was not only a great custodian, but a great friend. He was such a kind, caring man.
Family and friends were most important to him and he and Diane spent many hours sharing their time and
expertise making life more comfortable for others.
May your many fond memories give you strength at this difficult time.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Eldon was a very special man....very thoughtful and caring. He and Diana helped our Mother so much over her latter years with household chores, painting, cleaning etc. We remember their kindness very clearly.

From his nieces and nephew - We remember our Uncle as a dedicated member of the Sherkston Brethren and Christ Church. Now the Trinity Life Church which he was still a member. He cleaned this church for many years. I helped him a few times when I was a teenager. We knew he worked as a dry cleaner as a young man. He retired from the District School Board of Niagara as a Head Custodian. He loved working as a painter in his free time. No house was too big.
Right until the end - he remembered all of our birthdays. The birthday cards and phone calls were greatly appreciated. And when we had children - he did the same for his Great Nieces and Nephews.
