Nigh: Sarah Elizabeth
Passed away peacefully on July 30, 2022 at Maple Park Lodge in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Edgar Nigh (d.2009) of 64 years. Sadly missed by her children Helen Beers (Jim d. 2015), George Nigh, Mary Edwards (Jim), and Carol Nigh. Remembered dearly by her grandchildren Sandy Annarino (Frank), Nancy Brown (David), Roseanna Beers, Kristi Edwards (Sean McCarthy), and Tara Edwards as well as her great-grandchildren Natalie Malloy, Aiden Brown, Valerie McCarthy, Carlie McCarthy, and Jack McCarthy. She is survived by her brother Mike Johnston (Diana). Sarah is predeceased by her parents Salathiel (Leslie) Johnston and Margaret Elizabeth (Adams) and by her siblings Raymond Johnston, Clarence Johnston, Earl Johnston, Roy Johnston, Margaret Teal and Gladys Teal. Sarah was born and raised in Ridgeway, Ontario (Oakhill Forest) She resided in Stevensville until 2013 when she moved to Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, Ontario. We would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of Maple Park Lodge for their excellent care. A special thank you to nurses Tom and Katharine and also to Recreation Staff Beverly and Shannon. Dr. Spencer, thank you for your care and compassion. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway. A visitation will take place on Thursday August 4, 2022 from 11-1 with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel. Burial to follow at Bertie Cemetery.Services will be available live on the Funeral Home's Facebook site as well. If so desired donations in memory of Sarah may be made to Maple Park Lodge.
