Obituary of June Schaeffer

June Schaeffer

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 87.  June was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Henry Schaeffer and her son-in-law, Kelly Rowe.  Cherished mother and sadly missed by Dale Schaeffer (Wendy), Lynn McGowan (Willie), Diana Rowe and David Schaeffer (Barb).

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Kristie McGowan, Kevin McGowan (Jennifer) Jenine Rudyk (Joe), Steven Schaeffer (Ashley), Leanna Rowland (Tim), Megan Rowe (Seth), Rachel Rowe (Blake), Peter Lamoureux and Faith Schaeffer (James).

She will also be deeply missed by nine adorable great grandchildren who filled her heart with much joy.  Kaelen, Kennedy, Wrenna, William, Lucas, Jaxon, Joslyn, Matthew and Jack.

June loved her family dearly. Her hobbies included baking (she always had a freezer full of the best baked goods ever), knitting, crocheting and tole painting.  She was very involved in her Church during her entire life and in her younger years served as Treasurer of the Ladies Aid, Treasurer of the Sunday School and Secretary of the Church Council.  She also worked for the Royal Bank in Ridgeway for 28 years.

Very special thank you to the nursing staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital for their exceptional care of our mother.
