Like many, we first met Mrs. Morningstar when the girls signed up for piano lessons. All these years later, we were still in touch at least around Christmas. She wrote the most interesting and newsy notes! Our paths crossed again at MPL. Your mom was so proud of each and every person in her family! Even though I met only one of you briefly over the years, I feel like I know you because of the many stories your mom shared.
The world is a little less bright without her. We are grateful to have known her.

Mrs. Morningstar was my piano teacher throughout my years in highschool. Especially in hindsight, I really appreciate her encouragement, her knowledge and passion for music. Both I and my sister went on to study music in university and are now active as piano teachers and church musicians. Music continues to be one of the most important things in my life and I am so thankful to have had such a good teacher! I hope she would be happy to know that her legacy lives on.

I remember singing in the Trinity Lutheran Chorale in Buffalo with Marion and Joan Mathews. Music brought us all together.

I remember piano lessons with Mrs Morningstar. After we moved to Port Colborne our dad drove my sister Ann and me to Ridgeway on Saturday mornings for our lessons. While Ann had her lesson, Beverly and I would play Clue in their basement Rec Room or discuss the latest Cherry Ames or Nancy Drew books until we got too old for those (never too old to play Clue). Those Saturdays are among my best memories.
My condolences to Gary, Beverly, Debra and Janice and your families. Your mom was a very special person.
