John R Stewart (Stewy)
Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on July 17, 2021 at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Margarette Stewart and Kevin Klauck.
John (aka Stewy) was the loving husband to Bev for 10 wonderful years. Stewy leaves behind his loving family Sherry (Jim), Tom (Diana), Megan (Tyler), Kory, 3 great grandchildren and his cousins. He will be missed by his fur baby Lily.
Stewy spent many years working in the Marlartic Mines in Quebec. From there he made his way to Alberta where he worked as a sheet metal worker until his retirement in 2009.
An advid sportsman, Stewy loved spending his time playing horseshoes and drinking beer with his buddies.
A private service will be held at The Williams Funeral Home, located at 722 Ridge Road, Ridgeway on Saturday July 24th at 2pm. Due to covid restrictions, attendees are required to contact the funeral home at (905) 894- 1161 to reserve a spot as spaces are limited. A celebration of life will follow at a location still to be determined and will be announced after the service.
