Obituary of Stephen James Wright
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Stephen James Wright. Stephen was born August 24, 1964 in Grimsby, Ontario. He passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2021 at the age of 56. Stephen was the proud father of two wonderful sons Stephen and Allan, the cherished son of Carol Johnstone (Don) and Ed Wright, the beloved brother of Thomas (Sherri), Catharine (Bob) and David (Patty), his uncle Dick (Mary) his nieces Lindsay and Stephanie, and nephews TJ, Davey, Michael and Thomas.
The place where Stephen most found joy was up at the cottage spending time with family and friends. For as many years as can be remembered, Stephen was the first one up at the cottage in the early spring, and the last one there to close it up for the winter. He spent many summer weekends with family and friends fishing, water skiing or having drinks or coffee on the dock. He was the most happy when he had his boys with him, their cousins, and his sister and brothers close at hand.
Stephen’s entrepreneurial spirit was seen in his many efforts including Sanden Machine Services Inc and Wright IC Inc. where he gained the respect and trustof colleagues across Canada and the US.
Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeway, Ontario entrusted with arrangements. In keeping with Stephen’s wishes, cremation will take place and family and friends will gather to celebrate his life when it is safe to do so.
