Tante Ella Schulz Exnowski has left her earthly body. She was 77. Heartfelt condolences to all who loved her, including me. I loved her very much and have many great memories of her from when I was a child to adulthood. Ella & Tina got stuck babysitting me all the time when I lived with Oma & Opa. Once they forgot me at the circus. When my dad died she held me while I cried and grieved. Rest in peace Tante Elli. I will NEVER forget you!

My sincere condolences to Hans & Ella’s boys, Lee Roy, Ted, Greg, precious Grandchildren; Kristina & Jordyne her only Granddaughters she cherished, as well as, the boys.
I remember Ella was pivotal in Kyle take his first steps as she enticed him with the candle holders and we both cheered as he took those first steps. Fond memory.
Cooking !! Ella was the best cook I know. As a young wife to John, I was eager to learn all her cooking skills so I could hopefully cook like her one day. Strudel was loved by everyone and she would show her love by making everyone’s favourite dishes. Rouladen, hot potatoe salad, chicken paprika are just a few of her many dishes we all loved. She worked tirelessly in the kitchen for her family.
Christmas was a special time. She made Hans favourite German cookies at Christmas and they were enjoyed by all.
I loved when Ella and I would go shopping, just the girls !! Then we would stop off for some Chinese to bring home for everyone.
Easter she would hide treats for Jordyne and Keegan and buy lots of Easter treats for the kids. That put a smile on her face.
Ella was active and always helping in the German club either cooking, or secretary for the club. She would round up the volunteers usually Laura and Lee Roy were dedicated workers. John and I enjoyed going out to the German club dancing and having a great meal with the club members, Hans and Ella.
Car clubs and rides in Hans ‘63 Oldsmobile convertible, were fun times in Buffalo NY. Many good times with the car club. She would always find a shirt for the boys.
Ella enjoyed reading and the Déjà Vu channel, she loved the good ol movies and sit coms. Gardening, flowers and her yard she took pride in. She had the most unique beautiful flowers, Hans would spare no expense for her gardens. Laura and Michelle would weed the garden many a times for her without question.
I enjoyed asking Ella what she would like for her kitchen to be refreshed. She was so easy going letting John and I redo her kitchen for her not only once but twice. I was happy to see how she enjoyed having her favourite colours and wallpaper up, as the kitchen was where she did her awesome meals.
Ella flew out to Peace River, Albert to help our family after a surgery. The one picture attached was taken at that time. Was nice having Oma around.
Over the past 30 years I have known Ella, she loved her boys and gave her best to them. Her spirit was kind and gentle, always willing to give a hand.
We will all miss your sparkle, twinkle that you had in your eye.
May your spirit be at peace as you fly home. I thank you for my husband John, I see you in him everyday.
Peace & Love always, John, Tracy, Kyle & Keegan
