Obituary of Ronald Stewart

STEWART, RONALD
After a brave battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ron Stewart, at Belleville General Hospital on October 26th , at 79 years of age.
Ron was the dearly loved son of Dorothy Rehaume and the late Vincent Stewart and the stepson of the late Gordon Rehaume. Predeceased by his infant sister Diane Anita Stewart.
Beloved husband and best friend of Elaine (nee Climenhage) for 56 wonderful years.
Dearly loved father of Lisa Anderson (late Blair) and the late Greg Stewart (Pei).
The joy of his life were his Grandchildren, Benjamin and Charles Anderson and Wendy Stewart who are left with treasured memories of their Papa.
Fondly remembered by his stepsisters, Marilyn Latour, Lorraine Parker (Gary), Celine Hill (Cal) and Christine Sullivan (Pat).
He leaves many cousins and friends.
After retiring from his teaching career at Quinte Secondary School and Belleville Collegiate Institute, Ron’s passion was playing golf with his friends and Grandsons.
Ron was a kind and caring man who loved people. He always had a big smile and offered a helping hand to anyone who needed him.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in Ron’s hometown of Fort Erie, on Monday, November 4th, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the Williams Funeral Chapel, 722 Ridge Road N. Ridgeway, Ontario with visitation starting from 12 noon. Reception to follow. Private family Inurnment at Bertie Church Cemetery.
