Obituary of John Edward Carver

Carver, John Edward John Edward Carver died peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on September 3, 2019, at the age of 83. Predeceased by his wife Mary Ann. Proud father of Dianne (Craig) Booker, Donald (Bonnie) Carver and Tim (Denise) Carver. Cherished grandfather of Carolyn (Dean) Cober, Karen Booker, Thomas ( Bailey) Booker, Emily Carver, Hannah Carver, Amelia Carver and Jack Carver and great grandchildren Levi and Grace Cober. Beloved brother of Leona Lightheart, Harold (Stella) Carver, Jean (Lyle) Hawkins, Carol (Dan) Brunt, sister in laws Lucille Carver and Joan McIntyre. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Dave and Ruth Carver and in-laws Lloyd and Ruby McIntyre, sisters Rose (Charlie), Evelyn (Lorne), Shirley (George), and brother Kenneth and sister and brother in laws Gordon Lightheart, Sheila Carver and Donald McIntyre. John spent most of career as a metal fabricator and if he made something for you it was made to last. John was an active member of the Stevensville Kinsmen Club for many years and became a Lifetime Member. He was also a founding member of the board of West End Minor Hockey. John was an outdoor enthusiast, an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman, loved gardening and was known for his giant pumpkins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeway. There will be a Celebration of Life for John on September 14, 2019 at the Stevensville Conservation Hall from 1 pm – 4pm. In lieu of flowers if so desired, memorial donations to the Stevensville Kinsmen would be appreciated by the family.
