Obituary of Miles "Mecho" Kekich
KEKICH, Mile George - It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Miles “Mecho” Kekich. He was born on July 4th, 1953 and he left us on the morning of July 19th at age 66, surrounded by his loving family during his valiant recovery from a tragic accident at work in February. He is survived by Denise nee Atzrott, his loving wife of 43 years, beloved daughters Amanda Zagst (Jason) and Kelly-Anne (Matthew), and his adored grandson Bryce Miles. He will also be missed by his loving sisters Myrtle Durigan (Angelo) and Helen DeAdder, brother-in-law Ron Atzrott and sisters-in-law Michele Martina and Suzanne Mezydlo. Mecho will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends. Dearly loved and only son of the late George and Ethel. Miles loved the long road and his 25 years of truck driving. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends, had a passion for fast cars, cooking, BBQing, and hosting unforgettable parties. His famous brisket recipe will be missed by all. Mecho spent his earlier years working at PC Drop Forge.
He will be forever remembered by his kind heart and willingness to go the “extra mile” for anyone. He will be missed by all that knew him.
A special thank you to the staff of Hamilton General ICU and GNGH physio team.
