Lightheart, Olive Joyce ( Everett) Olive Joyce died peacefully at Welland hospital on Monday May 6th in her 87th year. Proud Mother of Leroy (Dianne), Gary (Karen), Pamela (Jim Douglas), and Christien (Gary Snyder). Cherished Gram of Rebecca, Josh (Nicole), Kimberley, Tara, Kylie, Sarah (Richard), Annie (Mike), Brittany (Jay), Brianne (Kevin), Gary Jr, Nathan, and Jeremy. Adored Great Gram of Christopher, Jayden, Alexis, Olivia, Hunter, Kaylynn, Leah, Logan, Talia, Adelaide, Lyric, Lilliana, Asher, Maverick, Maddie, Lewis. Survived by brother’s Leroy, Bruce, Earl, and sister’s Elaine and Edith and in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins. Predeceased by husband Andy, brother’s Eddie, Chuck, Tic, and sister Carol Ann. Olive was born at home in Ridgeway, October 19th, 1932. First daughter of Leonard and Violet Everett. She worked several years as a Bell telephone operator, worked at several local restaurants, and at home as a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Cooking and baking were one of many passions. Forever trying to get her family and friends to indulge in treats and meals. She was a euchre wiz, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and socializing on the phone. She enjoyed going to the slots, doing her scratchy tickets, and was always a recipe guru. The past 11 years were spent attending the dialysis unit in Welland where she established her extended family with the nurses and the other patients. Williams Funeral Services intrusted with the arrangements, 722 Ridge Rd N., Ridgeway. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8th 6-9 and on Thursday, May 9th from 11-1. Funeral Services to follow in chapel.
