Obituary of Elyssa Ashcroft
Elyssa Aurora Ashcroft
December 17 1999 to April 2, 2019. The little girl with the bouncy curls, the smile that lit up a room and the eyes that would melt your heart. Elyssa was a very strong willed woman determined to get her opinion heard. She had a mystical way with words when she set her heart to putting pen to paper. Full of determination and passion she dreamed of the bright future that lay ahead, fully prepared to create her own unique path. A soul wise beyond her years. A truly bright shining light, Elyssa was blessed with loving and devoted parents Christine Hall, Mike Ashcroft and stepmom Melissa Ashcroft, that taught her to embrace her individuality and creativity. Elyssa had the most beautiful smile, her spark was contagious and her laugh infectious. Being with her, even for a few minutes, could light up your soul. However there was a soul that she lit up more than any other. Ksaila’s. The relationship she had with her sister, Ksaila, was not like any other. She was a wonderful little sister, fiercely protective and incredibly supportive. Inseparable as children, the sisters did so many things together. When Ksaila would see Elyssa her whole face would light up and time would just be lost. After a trip to Alberta and a year of saving, she was able to go to Italy on a school trip and caught the travel bug. She had dreams of the many places she wanted to go. May she now make all those dreams come true. We know that Elyssa will share a special place in the universe with Grandpa Bill and Gramma Ashcroft. Elyssa will be incredibly missed by her family Gramma Sandy Farrer, Papa Wayne & Nana Dianne Hall, Gramma Janice. Aunts Chandra (Jason), Debbie (Bryan) Michelle (Rolly), Lorie (Kevin) and Wendy and cousins Campbell, Evelyn, Joel, Tiana, Cortney, Colin, Callum and Mia. And Grampa Doug Ashcroft (Helene), Gramma Christine Sadler, (Audi), Uncles Kevin (Lindsay), Jason, Stephen (Ang), Uncle Donkey, Gerry, Aunt Cheryl. Cousins; Mara, Natalie, Charlie, Uncles Bill and Mike (Annie) Martin, step brother Lucas Bastien, and best friends Emmy and Myah, along with many more aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many great friends. Special thanks to our Casa d’Pizza family for all your love and support. Those who choose to give a gift to honour Elyssa are asked to make a donation in her name to the a charity of their of their choosing in support of animals or mental health. Elyssa had so much goodness in her spirit and had a great capacity to bring happiness to others. She cared about people in the purest way, loved them for who they were and wished the best for them without asking for anything in return. Her time was spent connecting with friends and family, painting, writing and listening to music most often with her dog Pretzel by her side. She loved to wait for home made mac n cheese while she cuddled with her big dogs, her big baby Tysen, Max, and Sooke. She loved walking with them in the big yard and connecting with nature. Trees were something very special to her. We have lost a beautiful shining light in our lives. When you think of Elyssa, celebrate the good memories that you have of her. You loved her but she loved you more...
“Love you Muffin”
