Obituary of Jean Bird

BIRD, Jean Emma – Surrounded by family, passed away peacefully at Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie, on Sunday December 23, 2018 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her parents Art and Clara Bird, and beloved friend Anthony Cybulski. Cherished mother of Brenda (Russell) McLean, Dorothy (Robert) Carver, Pauline (Jack) Galvin, Mary Rotella, Mark (Marjorie) Cybulski, Robert Cybulski, Dan (Linda) Cybulski, Jerry (Gabriela) Cybulski and Catherine (Stanley) Zanchin. Survived by her sisters, Betty (Dale) Grisdale, and Terri McPhee, predeceased by her brother-in-law John McPhee. Loving grandmother to 18 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, predeceased by her grandson Luke Cybulski. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Jean will be remembered by her contagious smile, love for music and dancing, being a wild fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and warm heart. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all staff for their love, care and support at Gilmore Lodge. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd, N. The family will receive friends on Thursday December 27th from 2 – 4 and 6 -8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Roman Catholic Church, Crystal Beach. Rite of committal to follow at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara Region.
