Obituary of Gordon Hoyle

HOYLE, Gordon - After a lengthy illness, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Gordon L. Hoyle in his 95 year. Born on May 11, 1924, Gordon was married to Meretta R. Hoyle for 65 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Meretta, his grandson Shawn Sincoff, son-in-law Gary Huffman, & daughter in law Ann Raby. He is remembered with love by his children, Douglas (Marie), Kathy (John), Holly, Jennifer, and Pat (Linda) as well as 9 grand-children,3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gordon was a member of Branch #230, Royal Canadian Legion, as well as the Antique Power Association and Navy League. He served in the Second World War in the north Atlantic aboard the HMS Dundalk and the HMS Nipigon. As per his wishes, Gordon has been cremated and a Memorial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Scher and the staff of the Fort Erie Palliative Care Unit for the exemplary care and compassion shown to our father during his stay. Donations in Gord’s name may be made to the Douglas Memorial Ladies Auxiliary.
