Claire "Sue" Currah

Obituary of Claire "Sue" Currah

CURRAH, Claire “Sue” Elizabeth – Unexpectedly, but peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at her residence at the age of 68. Loving wife and soulmate of Tim for 47 years. Beloved mother of Ryan (Jen) and Kim (Nathan) Bythell. Survived by her mother-in-law Dorothea Currah. Predeceased by her parents Mary and John Everett, and her father-in-law Tom Currah. Cherished grandmother of Tyler, Luke, Jack and Sophie. Dear sister of John (Grace) Everett and Raymond (Gerry) Everett and sisters-in-law Joy Currah, Dale (Don) Murfin and brother-in-law Tom (Crystal) Currah. Cousin and best friend to Shirley (Bill) Hawkey and Jim MacDonald. Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beautiful niece Sammy Pemberton. Sue retired having had an accomplished accounting career from Durward Jones Barkwell & Company LLP a few years ago. Unable to put the pencil down, she grew a successful bookkeeping and tax return business with her loving husband/administrative assistant by her side. She truly valued her relationship with her clients and she and Tim became close friends with many of them. Her strong work ethic never got in the way of travelling the world, enjoying a glass of wine (or two) with her wine sisters and sharing her infectious laugh with her numerous friends and family. She was a kind-hearted person and didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She was a good listener and loved to share in others’ joys or support them through difficult times and everything in between. She loved her kids and was very proud of their accomplishments and whom they grew up to be. Her grandkids were so special to her and Nana Sue made it to nearly every hockey and soccer game, when she wasn’t travelling with Tim, and was their biggest fan in whatever it was they were doing.
