Obituary of Shirley Brown

Brown, Shirley (Irene) of Fort Erie. Born on May 13, 1947 – Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sept. 3, 2018. She leaves behind her children Robert Brown (Lori), and Elizabeth Brown (Mike Mazzuto) and her brother Peter Storm (Debbie). Shirley is also survived by her grandchildren- Meaghan, Rebecca, Nicholas, Amber, Savannah, great grandchild Nathan and nephew Matthew Storm. She is predeceased by her parents Mike and Marion Storm. In her earlier working life, she worked tirelessly volunteering for the “Crescent Park Lodge Travelers”, which she founded and was dedicated to ensuring the residents of Crescent Park Lodge nursing home enjoyed life outside of the home through various day trips. For this she received the Governor General of Ontario's award for volunteer excellence. Shirley was also an avid Bingo player, not often missing a chance to play. At her request, cremation will take place followed by a private family service. A celebration of life will be held at the Fort Erie Legion on Saturday September 22nd, 2018 from 1 -4 p.m. Donations may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Society in her name.
