Obituary of Harry "Ted" McKowan

McKOWAN, Harry Edward “Ted” – passed away peacefully at the Port Colborne Hospital on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Troup) (nee Honsberger) McKowan. Dear father to Elizabeth Dupuis (Jim) and Jim Troup (Diane). Dear grandfather of Jesse Dupuis (Lisa Kaffenbaum), Karrie Troup (Brian Holland) and Allan Troup (Carrie) and great grandfather of Gabriel Holland and James Troup. He will be fondly remembered by his niece Barb Anthony of Kamloops B.C. Predeceased by his brothers Jack and Charles Holland and his sister Margaret Holland. Ted was a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving during WW2 with the Regina Rifles and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71, Fort Erie and the Dominion Masonic Lodge #615. WILLIAMS FUNERAL SERVICES, 722 Ridge Road N., Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. A service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71, 130 Garrison Road, Fort Erie on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
