Obituary of Roger Hamer

HAMER, (John) Roger  

October 1938 – Feb 1 2026 

Predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy and his sister Ann. Roger passed away peacefully at home with his daughter Samantha by his side. His life was full of doing what he liked most. Racing, flea markets, steam engine shows, and drinking cold beer. A man full of adventures and stores he loved to share of days gone by. His collections will always have us laughing and asking “why”. He will be missed by many including his cat “poo”. I could go on forever about him but I will just let everyone remember him in their own way.  A very special thank you to Dr. Scher, who showed him love, compassion and dignity in his final days. I couldn’t have done it without you. Kervin, his RN from St. Elizabeth, thank you for your care of Roger. My children Karl Nagel and Mattaya Hamer, you are my rocks - Proud of you both. Naomi and Bob Weagant for making sure I had everything I needed to I didn’t have to leave him and Joni and Jim Collison for bringing me tea every morning. Thank you all. Love Samantha. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. Williams Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements.
