Obituary of Doris Mary Darragh

It is with sadness, yet with fond, loving memories, that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris Mary Darragh (née Brunning) on Monday, January 19, 2026. Doris is now reunited with her beloved husband, Jack Darragh. She was a devoted mother to John (Penny) and Scott (Caroline), and a proud and loving grandmother to Andrew, Christy, Callan, and Jack. Doris will be deeply missed by her sisters, Ann Weaver and Beady Phelan, as well as by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Beatrice Brunning, and by her brother, Freddie.  

Doris will be remembered for her love and kindness she shared so generously - especially over a hot cup of tea. Her dedication and many years of service to the Catholic Women’s League at St. George’s parish in Crystal Beach reflected her deep faith and commitment to her community.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Doris’ life will be announced at a later date. Williams Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate and dedicated team at Chippawa Creek at Bella Care Residence for the exceptional care provided for Doris over the past several years.

At this time, the family kindly asks that donations be made in memory of Doris to support Alzheimer’s research.
