Obituary of Roland Alex Daku

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roland Daku Sr. on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Roland passed peacefully with his family at his side.

Reunited with his late wife Karen Grace (2019) and his son Robert (2022).

Predeceased by his parents Alex and Mary Daku, his sisters Matilda, Margaret and brother Rennie.

Roland will be deeply missed by his children Roland Jr. and Robyn (Derrick) as well as his cherished grandchildren/ great grandchildren Bonnie and her daughter Kaylee, Ashley and her son Parker, Christaan & Nikki and their children Violet and William and Melissa and her children Aidan, Greyzlyn, Keoborne, Kolson and Kieran.

He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Shirley and Tootsie, his sisters-in-law Ginny, Joanne, Linda and Joy, and by many nieces, nephews.

Roland proudly served with the Fort Erie Fire Department, Station 5 in Stevensville for 25 years. He also spent several years coaching boys hardball in his community, a role he truly enjoyed and one in which he made a lasting impact.

Creamation has taken place and arrangements for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to their loved ones for their unwavering support and to the compassionate nurses and staff at GNGH for keeping him comfortable in his final days.

Donations may be made to the Stevensville Conservation Club or Bethlehem Housing and Support Services, and would be appreciated by his family.
