We knew Lenny from his stay at Redstacks Retirement Home where my mother lives. He would always watch out for her in the living room where they sat, making sure she was okay. He would say, "Hi mama," whenever I wheeled her in. He asked me once how old she was and I told him (she was two years older) and he jokingly said, "Oh, I don't date older women," and smiled. Lenny loved to talk and would tell me and my husband about his time at the Toronto Star, his time in Calgary, when he walked the horses in Toronto, when he was a kid watching the Leafs play. He had such a good memory. We really enjoyed when we watched the Leafs games Saturday nights with him and my mother (who also loves the Leafs) and other residents. When they lost he'd say, "The Leafs stunk tonight!" We're glad we got to visit him at Gilmore Lodge where he transitioned to. We won't forget you, our friend.
