Obituary of Dolores Kay Brown

BROWN, Dolores

A lifelong resident of Crystal Beach, Dolores Brown (nee Brewster) passed away on October 10, 2025 at GNGH. Dotty was born on Haun Road in 1940 to parents Eva and Claude.  She was very proud of her family's history and shared that story with siblings Joy, Richard, and Murray. In 1964, Dotty married Robert Brown and they went on to raise their 3 children - Shawn, Shelly, and Shannon.  The small kitchen of the family home produced several cakes and pies over the years. Dotty was a baker at heart and her creations were well known and sought after. As life progressed, she became "Nanny Fish" to Alyxander, Kirstie, and Robert. Although all of her nieces and nephews meant a great deal, she shared a special bond with Lori (Lo-Lo) and Moe.  She cherished her friendships of over 70 years with Joy and Sandy and bonded in her deep faith with Lynn. Being steadfast in her roots, she chose to live at home as long as she could with her loving cat, Max.  Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 16th from 2-4 and 6-8 at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. George's Catholic Church in Crystal Beach on Friday, October 17th at 10:00am. Those wishing to make memorial donations may direct them to St. Vincent de Paul or the SPCA.
