It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Johnstone (born April 16th in Toronto), who passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2025.

Gary worked for the TTC, the Gray Coach Lines and the Niagara Parks People Mover for many years. Gary had a love for woodworking, euchre, fishing, Elvis and Johnny Cash music, western movies and socializing with family and friends.

Gary built a beautiful life with Susan Daudelin and her daughters Tanya (Jason) and Sherry (Michael), his daughters Tricia (George), Debbie (Roy), and Shonna, his son Scott (Belinda), sisters Jeanne and Carol, brother Harv, predeceased by his brother Wayne, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to Dr. Scher, Rebecca and Jessica from the ParaMed team, Walker Family Cancer Centre, the palliative care team at Douglas Memorial Hospital, and other PSWs and nurses from the ParaMed team.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation will take place. Please take some time to celebrate and remember Gary in your own special way. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
