In Loving Memory of Taina Ingrid Remmler

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Taina Ingrid Remmler on June 25, 2025, at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, with her beloved husband Dave by her side. Taina was 67 years old, the cherished daughter of Ingmar Remmler and his wife Barbara (McCulloch) of Fort Erie.

Taina will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Dave Colegate, and her loving sons David (Rowan) and Garrett (Krysta). She will be fondly remembered by her brothers Fred (Joanne) and Daryl (Joanne), her many nieces and nephews, and the entire Colegate family. Taina also leaves behind a circle of dear, lifelong friends both locally and in Mexico, whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Born in Brampton and raised in Fort Erie, Taina attended Bowen Road Public School and Fort Erie Secondary School. She later went on to run her own successful sewing business, combining her talent and creativity to bring joy to many. A passionate supporter of the arts, Taina served on the Board of Directors for the Garrison Little Theatre, where she also designed and sewed costumes for numerous productions - leaving a lasting mark on the local theatre community.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Scher and the compassionate staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital for their dedicated care and kindness.

Cremation has taken place. Williams Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared in the near future.

In honour of Taina’s memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
