Obituary of Raymond Arthur Koabel

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our much-loved Ray. Raymond Arthur Koabel was born on August 13^th, 1954, and passed away on June 25^th, 2025, after fighting a long battle with cancer.

Ray is predeceased by his loving parents Donald and Lorraine Koabel. He is survived by his brothers Mike (Michele), Larry (Donna) and Mark (Linda). A special blessing and thank you to Mary for all the loving care and companionship she gave him. Loving uncle of four nieces and two nephews. He loved them unconditionally.

Ray adored the family heritage on the farm where he was born and raised. He was a proud employee with the Co-Operators Insurance Co. After 40 years of dedicated service to management and colleagues, he retired. His greatest passion was in Nascar, Formula One and Indy car races, spending many weekends with friends at the races or shows. During winter months, Ray had enjoyed time with his “snowmobile” buddies up North.

Cremation has taken place. Williams Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. At Ray’s request, a private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Ray will be truly missed at all the family and friend campfires. He was loved by all who knew him.
