I'm deeply saddened to hear about Ray's passing. He was truly a remarkable person who brought joy to everyone around him. I have such fond memories of spending countless winters snowmobiling with Ray; those moments were always filled with laughter and adventure. His warmth and spirit will be profoundly missed.

To the entire Koabel family
I have known Ray and his family since 1968, grade 9 at Norte Dame . Parents and brothers like no other you will find anywhere. Ray was the kind of person that everyone loved and wanted to be around. Kind, funny, loyal, honest and gregarious. Ray was the best of the best when it came to his friends and family. We were in each others wedding parties, and while the years drifted many of us apart, none of us every lost sight of how lucky we were to have Ray a phone call away , like it was yesterday. I am both so saddened and grateful Ray was in my life.. RIP Ray , and god bless the Koabel family .

I am saddened with the passing of Ray. I worked with Ray at Co-operators and although he worked in St. Catharines and I was in Hamilton, I often would see him and we worked together on a number of claims. He always had a great smile and a terrific sense of humour. My sincerest condolences to Mary and the Koabel family. May his memory be a blessing. George

I am very saddened by the passing of my dear friend Ray. I was so very fortunate to work with Ray for many years at Co-operators. He was a great mentor and role model. He was a wealth of knowledge, kind, fair and straight-shooting with co-workers and clients alike.
I will forever remember his kind demeanor and wonderful sense of humor.
My sincere condolences to Ray’s family.
Rest in peace my friend. Jim

I was very saddened to hear of Ray's passing. I'm grateful I was able to spend sometime with him at our last high school Reunion. I'll always remember Ray as a happy and positive guy having spent much of our life together in our younger years. My deepest, heartfelt condolences to the Koabel family.

I have so many good memories of Ray; too many to list here. He was one of my dad's best friends (my dad was Farmer) and like a big brother to me. We lost touch on later years but Mary Luciani reunited us. I'm very grateful for that, and will always remember him fondly. Truly a really good guy. Sending love and support to Mary and everyone who loved him.

I am so sad to hear that Ray has passed away. I went to highschool with Ray and was a bridesmaid at his wedding. He was always such a kind, gentle, good person. I remember his bashful smile and his laughter. My prayers are with him and the family. RIP Ray
