Don was born July 31st 1939, in River Hebert Nova Scotia, he passed away on Saturday May 10th, 2025, at Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie. Beloved husband of Loraine. Cherished father of Tom (Heather) Light, Julie (Dave) Anthony, Stacie Light and brother to Linda (Tom) Gibbins. Dearly remembered by extended family Deborah Monteith, Mark (Barb) Robins, Wilf (Donna) Robins, and Naomi (Michael) Kenny. Lovingly remembered by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Lucas. Don worked for the Niagara Region for 25 years before opening his own business. Don had a love for darts, euchre, cribbage and socializing with his friends at the Ridgeway Legion and the Beachcombers Senior Centre. Don was a Legion President for 2 years; a member for 37 years. He will be dearly missed by many friends and extended family. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #230, 228 S Mill St, Ridgeway, on June 28th, 2025, starting at 2:00 P.M. Cremation has taken place. Williams Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements.
