Obituary of Mark Andrew Laforest

Laforest: Mark

Unexpectedly on March 31^st, 2025, at the Welland Hospital.  Cherished son of Bert and Linda Laforest.  Loving father of Greg (Jessica) Laforest, Kara (Kory) Johnston and Nicholas (Joél) Jones.   Proud grandfather of Hannah, Lincoln, Paige, Leah and Jon.  He will be always remembered by his brother Bob (Dorothy) Laforest and sister Joanne (Craig) Stover as well as his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends.

Mark was an avid sportsman.  In addition to his years of playing hockey, Mark enjoyed fishing and being in nature.  His most proud title was grandfather which he embraced every day.

Friends and family are invited to gather on April 26^th from 11 am to 3 pm at the social room at the Welland Arena.  Stories will be shared at various times throughout the afternoon. Donations in Mark’s memory can be made to Welland Minor Hockey Association.
