Obituary of Brenda Louise Korten
Brenda Louise Korten (Collison) Feb. 11, 1964 to Feb. 16, 2025 - Wife, Mother and Oma. She loved her family immensely, and they loved her. She never doubted the difficult journey the Lord had given her, clinging to Christ ever more as the end was nearing. She saw death as a door to life, trusting in Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection for salvation at the age of 12. She looked forward to heaven's reunion where she would see her mother Verna, father Charles, sister Laura, and brother David. She leaves behind her loving husband Jochem, children, Joshua (Dana), Alex, Darren (Alaina), Kassie (Luciano), Taylor, sister Kathie Putman, and grandchildren Blair, Ellis, Rowan, and Miles. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
She loved her church family, and served with joy in the position of office administrator for 10 years. Previous to that, she was the family’s chauffeur taking her son’s to hockey, soccer, cycling, etc., and her daughter to music, soccer, and figure skating. She was hands down their biggest fan.
Now her work on earth is done, rest in peace as your faith has now been made sight.
A special thank you for the outstanding care of Dr. Levesque, Dr. Scher, Port Colborne palliative team, and the Paramed nurses, especially Rebecca.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 22nd at 9:30am, with an 11:00am service at Golden Harvest Baptist Church, 3130 Point Abino Rd., Stevensville. Luncheon to follow. Graveside service following luncheon. Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
